CTN Animation Expo 2012: "See, hear, engage and discover"

Animation expo

I will be exhibiting at the Newcomer Talent Tent at CTN this year. My friends and I will be selling our comic anthology, Reality Not Included. CTN is an excellent opportunity for people in the animation industry and those trying to get in the industry to network and make new connections. Feel free to come by the Wishing Star Studios table in the Newcomer Talent Tent and take a look at the talent of BYU's Animation Center.

sketches at the twilight concert series

These are some sketches that I did at an outdoor concert in downtown salt lake. I mainly wanted to focus on simplifying the form and creating an appealing, more dynamic gesture. To me, some of the most inspiring gestures are those of Claire Wendling. She can make something as simple as eating a burger or adjusting your bra look beautiful.

Latest schoolism assignment

My latest assignment from schoolism. The theme for this was exaggeration. Part of the assignment also included drawing an animal without any reference. I had one page of drawings using reference just to get the anatomy down, and the rest are without any reference: videos, going to the zoo, magazines, google images, etc.

This is from the video on the website

The olympics must be turning my imagination to mush

Man, I never thought I would put bears and women's beach volleyball together
