REALITY NOT INCLUDED

I'd like to take the time to announce the new up and coming collaborative comic, Reality Not Included!!!!!! Several of my colleagues and I are coming together to create a collaborative comic just like the Disney artists' Rocket Johnson and Torch Tiger, Batman Black and White and the Flight comics. All contributors are artists who have had the privilege to study animation and illustration at Brigham Young University. This is an opportunity for us to show our talents to the animation industry, and have a little fun as well. We plan on finishing this sometime in August, then taking it to CTN this year. I'll keep posting new updates about the book whenever I can. I'll certainly post character designs and any panels I'm working on.

A very special sketchbook piece

While sketching at Hogle Zoo, I went into the ape house and saw large Orangutan and little girl looking back at each other. It was absolutely adorable to see these two having some kind of connection to each other and I just had to jot it down.

Been a while since I've gone out and done some figure drawing. Here's what I did this Tuesday at King's Cottage.

Gestures from Blue Sky

These past four weeks I had the privilege of doing temp work for Blue Sky Animation. The experience was fantastic and gave me a great insight in the world of an animation studio. I also had the opportunity to see some old friends from BYU and make some new ones there as well. Thursday nights were figure drawing sessions, and gave me the chance to exercise my sketching skills. Here are a few of the drawings that I did while there.
